On May 28, 2018, the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the African Energy Commission (AFREC) conducted a one week intensive training on Energy Statistics, focusing on Energy Efficiency and data collection. 

Mrs. Dana Hyde, the CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the U.S. Ambassador accredited to Liberia Ambassador Christine Elder visit the Mount Coffee Hydro Plant on Tuesday, October 26, 2016. The project began in May 2012 and construction started in January 2014. During their visit, they also mentioned the amount of jobs opportunities for Liberians as well as the training opportunities.

Between April 15 and May 15, 2017, consultant Saiwoe Y. Varpilah, funded by ACDI/VOCA, collaborated with two cooperatives in the Quandu Gboni District in Lofa County towards the construction of 30 solar dryers.  GIZ/EnDev had previously trained community members on how to build the table model dryer and provided the imported greenhouse plastic foil for the dryers.

 

The R.C.D. Marshall Clinic improvement is a project of the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation implemented by KfW/WHH/German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe) to physically improve health care centers in Liberia. For this and further clinics, EnDev/GIZ on behalf of WHH imports, stores and installs 13 identically designed solar systems to provide energy for electricity in different Health Centers and Clinics.
