Due to the poor electricity condition in Liberia, EnDev and WHH have decided to install solar lighting system in health facilities for safe delivery at night, Vortor Community Clinic in Bomi County has now benefited from a 1.3 KW solar installation.

On Monday, February 12, 2018, a team of technicians from EnDev arrived at the facility to install the solar lighting system that lasted for three (3) days.

After the installation, training was conducted by the technicians involving medical staff and some community members regarding energy efficiency, monitoring, and maintenance of the system installed.

According to one of the midwives, the clinic has been in darkness since it was constructed ten years ago. The installation of this solar light will help to reduce life threatening situation and offered 24 hours service for the patients.
